| I did not like the movie "Chicago." I thought the cinematography was poor, and I found all of the characters to be unlikable. The only redeeming quality of the movie is the guy who sings "Mr. Cellophane" and the innocent girl who gets hung anyways. D- --Nick | | |
| I had a weird dream featuring the theatre ppl from Frostburg the other night. The dream was something like going to a movie in pajamas and then going to the concession stand to take a break and sit at a bar for root beer or something. Strange. Let me tell you about the online comics that I read on a daily basis (some don't update that often, but I check them anyways). Here's the list: http://www.frozenreality.co.uk/comic/bunny/ Cute bunnies. Witty humor. A+ http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/ Video game references. Occasional sidebar. Bonus comics. A+ http://www.explosm.net/ Disturbing in all ways. Updates every day. A+ http://nedroid.com/ Updates include comics, drawings, witty humor. A http://www.questionablecontent.net/ Indy rock references. Usually hilarious. A+ http://www.samandfuzzy.com/ In-depth story. Ninjas. Mafia. Assassins. A+ http://www.drmcninja.com/ In-depth story. Ninjas. Dracula. Zombies. Raptors. Everything in between. A+ http://www.katbox.net/laslindas/ Personal fav. Cute story. Updates once a week. Bonus comics. B+ http://www.xkcd.com/ Witty humor. Appeals to the scientifically minded. A+ http://pbfcomics.com/ No longer updates. Old comics are still good. B- http://www.daniellecorsetto.com/gws.html aka Girls with Slingshots. Adult humor (not work appropriate). A+ http://www.daisyowl.com/ Forum-style comic. Unusual humor. A That's my current hit list. | Where's my snow? Seriously. It has rained and sleeted a little (for all of five minutes) but the only cold weather we'll be getting won't be until Thursday, and it isn't even going to hint at anything. Lame. At least I had a good weekend. I got to hang with Emily a bit on Saturday and Sunday. We celebrated her mom's birthday with a group of close family members (the cake was awesome). I also got to see my group of D&D friends for some dorkin' out. Good fun. Well last semester went well: I got 4.0! This next one is going to be a doozie though: I'm taking 6 classes aka 18 credit hours. I will embrace the challenge, but I don't wanna go to my 7pm class. Ah well, at least this semester there will be snow. --Nick | | |
| This explains why no one has seen me this semester. At any rate, things are going well with just about everything else, even though I would like to burn down my professor's office (just his). Emily and I are as happy as can be (she's the one who reminded me that I haven't posted anything since August). OOOOOOOOOOOO Goodnight --Nick | | |
| I can hardly wait! This warm weather needs to come to an abrupt end. I need some mountain craziness to get me ready for some of my Engineering courses. Granted that the early fall and late summer at Frostburg are quite nice, and the foliage is very beautiful, I still can't wait for all the bugs to drop dead, and for classes to take full swing in the midst of face-freezing cold (or something like that - you know what I mean). At any rate, I have a presentation to give on Thursday, so I'd better get back to preparing it. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your summer! --Nick | | |
